When I say I really think hard before throwing anything out from my closet, this blog post is proof. I don't throw away an item of clothing unless I have ensured it has no use to me. I even salvage a lace or any ornamental details from an outfit, if I can, before throwing it. That's why I love to invest in the quality of the product and not in a fad trend.
So, when my beloved bright pink top tore near the armhole, I knew I could salvage it by making it sleeveless. That's what I did, as you can see in the video below.
What I did not think immediately was to do something about the puffy sleeves. As usual, I did keep it aside for a future DIY. After a few ideations, I thought of actually utilizing the shape of the puffy sleeves and creating products around it. So, I made one of the sleeves into a big scrunchie and another one into a mini bag. Both these are in vogue right now. So, the timing was right. Here's how I accomplished this task.
