These spring/summer 2021 trends are not only wearable but are also easy to find in your closet or while shopping.
With the pandemic, honestly, we have just breezed from one cozy weather indoors to another. However, designers are pumping up the energy for 2021 and showing us that we sure can get through this, and while doing it, some fashion fun won't hurt us. Let me get one thing out of the way before we discuss trends; whichever editorial gives you the notion that masks are 'in trend' is bizarre. They are essential people, and you got to wear them every single time. Now let's jump right into the trends that you can rock this spring/ summer.
Print Galore
It's an age-old trend when it comes to spring/summer fashion. Bring out your prints, and this year mix and match them the way you like. How to do that? A trick I learned from Tan France is to start with two prints. Choose a classic (floral, stripes, or animal) print and pair it with a bold one like paisley.
Oversized Everything
The one thing we totally got used to staying at home was the comfort of our oversized clothing, be it sweatshirts or just plain old pajamas. As we start getting out, we are moving to different silhouettes. The two most popular ones being baggy trousers/pants and boyfriend shirts. Fair warning, don't pair them together unless you're going for an over-the-top loose look.
Cinch In A Bit
With so many loose-fitting forms, don't be shy to show off some shape. Whenever necessary, belt it at the waist. Start by adding a belt to your baggy trousers and define that waist.
Sheer & Slick
If shapeless is not your thing, go for sheer and tight tops this summer. These are versatile as you can wear the tops under/over a dress or a sweatshirt too.
Full Circle
Now, nobody predicted this style, but I saw this one being a popular accessory trend. Not talking about the hoop earrings here, but something much more defined. The circle is fully prominent in accessories like earrings, as pendants, and even in belts. Here's how you can easily incorporate it.
So, what do you think of these trends? Which one is your favorite? Which of these are you going to include into your summer wardrobe this year? Let me know in the comments below.
